Globalisation is inevitable; whichever point of view we look from, it is occurring, and it will continue to happen. Countries did not exist, only fiefdoms under the control of a king. These gave way to a more centralised kingdom/nation state. The natural evolution, is that these old boundaries i.e. those of nation states will eventually be eroded. There is a period of change afoot, and the Orwellian notion of superstates no longer looks so far fetched. Human nature is to group with those who are like us. In the past, this was generally via tribal or racial lines. In the coming period, I believe this will be with those who are most like us historically, and morally. I must stress, that isn't to say that excluded nations are morally inferior, purely that their morality is different.
